Who is Wanderer?
Wanderer is a playable character from the game Genshin Impact. He first appeared as '???/Scaramouche' in 2021 during the Unreconciled Stars Event Quest The Crisis Deepens, where he introduced himself as a "vagrant from Inazuma." He was later released as Wanderer on December 7, 2022 during the 3.3 update.
As his name implies (outright says it, more like), he is currently a Wanderer and does not strictly tie himself down with any affiliations, although he is apart of the Vahumana class-- one of the Akademiya's Six Darshans.
Why do you like him so much?
Not only is he a super lore-rich character, but his personality is very unique to other playable Genshin characters, and his design is just so beautiful-- although, his personality is the biggest characteristic that intrigues me, hehe. He is truly a one-of-a-kind character and I could literally talk about him for hours. Also, look at how cool his weapon is!!
A little note: While listening to his boss theme song, Polumnia Omnia, I noticed that the opera singer switches between Latin and Japanese, showing Scaramouche's ties to both the Fatui (an organization inspired by commedia dell'arte which originated in Italy, and Italian evolved from Latin) and Inazuma (a nation based on the Edo period of Japan). The contributions of both languages into his theme caught me by surprise; *Sob* it is just so beautiful. Here are the lyrics.
